It's Turkey Time!

Wow! This year has flown by! I can't believe it's already Thanksgiving. Christmas is just around the corner. This holiday season I find myself thankful for everything that I have in my life. More than any other year. I'm not sure if it's because I've matured over the years and I am learning the things that are most important in life aren't really things at all. I thank God everyday for what he has given to us. Unfortunatly sometimes we really find ourselves counting our blessings when something bad happens. A dear friend of mine, who is 24, was in a car accident today and it has really hit me in the gut. She hit a cement wall on the side of the highway and an eighteen wheeler hit her. They had to perform reconstructive surgery which included placing a metal plate behind her eye. She may lose her eye. This saddens me to no end. I feel for her family and know that her recovery will be a tough one. But I have faith that she will recover from this.

BTW..
My oldest turned 8 this past weekend!! Still can't believe it!

I'm not sure?

My daughter's birthday is coming up this Saturday. She will be 8 years old. A friend that I've had for 16 years now bought her a book. American Girl "The Care & Keeping of You." This book is a head to toe guide with answers to all of their questions from hair care to haelthy eating, bad breath to bras, periods to pimples, and everything between. This seems like good advice but it also seems very detailed. It shows everything from how to pick out a bra which is great but also has very graphic pictures on how to insert a tampon. I'm just not sure if she is at an appropriate age for a book like this. I would love some advice from other mothers out there. Let me know what you think.

I think I'm in love!

With this purse!! It's being sold by morelle on etsy, it's called Lilac Truffle. Absolutely beautiful! I think that I will have to leave http://www.morelle.etsy.com/ up on the screen so that my husband can see what I want for Christmas. LOL.

Wow

This morning I woke up fed the kids and checked my email. There was an email from a fellow etsy member. She said that my items in my shop were so cute and she's was wondering why I didn't have more sales. She also made some suggestions on what I could do to increase sales. I thought that was very kind of her seeing that she sells similar items. It's so nice to see that there are still good people out there!

On another note I added some super cute Christmas clippies to my etsy site.

Take a look:

So this is blogging...

Hello there.
So I've decided to start blogging. Being a mother of three crazy kids I thought this may help keep me sain (even if it's only temporary). Well where do I start? I am 28 years olf I have 3 kids ages 7, 6, & 1. I've been married for 8 years now, he says it still feels like the first day....pfft what does he want? Just kidding. Suprisingly the spark is still there. When we were first married I assumed that eventually it went away and you just learned to live together. I was wrong!

My babies: Allie the Witch, Marcus the Pumpkin, & Jasmine the Ghost!

OMG, as I am typing this blog my one year old is trying to turn the computer off!! Did I pick a good title for my blogspot or what?

Ok I vented back to blogging...

I am a stay at home mom for now, trying to decide on whether I should go back to work. I quit my job in May as a supervisor in an ophthalmology clinic. the salary just didn't seem worth all of the hassle (daycare prices, after school care prices, long hours on salary, etc.) But now it just seems to be getting tougher financially. I've started making clippies and selling them on etsy. You can stop by my shop and tell me what you think http://www.sweetasjamboutique.etsy.com/ :). Okay so I think I'm getting the hang of this. I'll be back tomorrow!
